I've done two programs with Mundolengua, once solo for a teacher training program and once with a group of my students. I've mostly worked with Yaye - she made us feel so at home, it's fun and relaxed. Their health insurance came in super handy one day; one of our students was nauseous and Mundolengua handled everything, setting up a telehealth call with a doctor and ordering medicine from a nearby pharmacy. Ich habe zwei Wochen in den Ferien dort mit meiner Schule verbracht und es war eine wunderschöne Zeit, die ich nie vergessen werde! Auf unserer Sprachreise nach Sevilla hatten wir viele Moglichkeiten, mit unseren wunderbaren Reiseleitern Alejandro, Javier, Marta und Roberto die verschiedensten Facetten der Kultur und Geschichte der Stadt zu erleben. Wir besichtigten sowohl historische Stätten wie die Kathedrale von Sevilla mit der Giralda und den Königspalast Real Alcázar als auch die traditionsreichen Stadtviertel Santa Cruz, Triana und Arenal mit der bis heute genutzten Stierkampfarena Plaza de Toros. Zusätzlich gab es einige freiwillige Aktivitäten, die zahlreich genutzt wurden, um das Maximum aus dieser einmaligen Reise herauszuholen. So besuchten wir unter anderem eine klassische Flamenco-Show, die bei allen Teilnehmern große Begeisterung auslöste und die Stimmung im traditionell eingerichteten Innenhof erheblich steigerte. Ein weiteres Highlight war der Ausflug in die Hafenstadt Cádiz, die als "Havanna Spaniens" bekannt ist und auf eindrucksvolle Weise Kultur mit malerischen Stränden verbindet. Um Sevilla noch aus einer anderen Perspektive zu erleben, meldeten sich einige von uns zu einer Kajakfahrt auf dem Fluss Guadalquivir an, bei der das herrliche Wetter für eine besonders ausgelassene Stimmung sorgte. Wir hatten das große Glück, passend zum Beginn der Semana Santa anzukommen und diese einzigartige Tradition in ihrer ganzen Fülle miterleben zu können. Anfangs wirkten die vermummten Büßer, die Nazarener, mit ihren Gewändern etwas befremdlich. Doch da man den Prozessionen der verschiedenen Bruderschaften von Palmsonntag bis Ostermontag kaum entgehen konnte, gewöhnten wir uns schnell an dieses eindrucksvolle Bild. Besonders beeindruckend waren die Pasos - kunstvoll gestaltete Heiligenstatuen, die auf Sänften von den sogenannten Costaleros auf ihren Schultern getragen werden. Die gesamte Szenerie wurde musikalisch von Trauermärschen begleitet, was insbesondere nachts die Intensität dieses Spektakels noch steigerte. Alles in allem war die Semana Santa für uns eine spektakuläre Erfahrung, deren Leidenschaft und Intensität in Sevilla einzigartig ist. Der Unterricht in den kleinen Klassenverbänden hätte nicht besser sein können! In einem Abwechslungsreichen Lehrplan haben wir in den 7 Schulstunden mit der wunderbaren Adela einen guten Überblick über sowohl kulturelle Aspekte, als auch die Sprache bekommen und hatten die Möglichkeit unser neues Wissen in interaktiven und teambildenden Übungen unter Beweis zu stellen. Das Highlight waren für unsere Gruppe die vielen Quizze, für die wir Passanten befragen und Fotos machen sollten, sowie der Escape Room rund um den spanischen Klassiker Don Quijote. Die Urkunde mit dem Bewertungsbogen zum Abschluss des Kurses löste ein Gefühl von großem Stolz in uns aus und das persönliche Feedback war sehr berührend. Die Unterbringung in den verschiedenen Gastfamilien verlief einwandfrei und MundoLengua hatte immer ein offenes Ohr für Probleme jeglicher Art, die zum Glück weitestgehend ausgeblieben sind. Die liebevolle rundum Versorgung durch die Gasteltern war geprägt von typischen spanischen Spezialitäten, wie beispielsweise Gazpacho oder Papas con Choco. Grundsätzlich wurde während der gesamten Reise von allen Mitarbeitern darauf geachtet, uns alles verständlich und auf unserem Sprachniveau zu erklären, was wirklich wunderbar war! Zum Abschluss der Reise veranstaltete MundoLengua ein gemeinsames Abschiedsessen, bei dem wir die vielen Eindrücke teilen und die Erlebnisse noch einmal Revue passieren lassen konnten. Der schwere Abschied von unseren Begleitern zeugt von der engen Bindung, die wir in dieser Zeit zu ihnen aufgebaut haben, und beweist den vollen Erfolg unserer Reiseerfahrungen. Der einzige Verbesserungsvorschlag wäre von meiner Seite aus, dass das Freizeitprogramm, also außerhalb des Unterrichts, gerne erweitert werden kann, da es nach zwei Wochen schwer war immer neue Dinge zu finden, für die man die Zeit nutzen kann.
