To support this experience, we also offer a service learning course that focuses on social issues in Spanish society today (offered in the Sping). This gives our students the chance to share their volunteer experiences and compare today’s issues in Spain with those of their own country. The course includes a research project that encourages students to further investigate their organization’s history and cause. This unique service learning program allows the students to utilize their classroom knowledge in a professional setting, fostering personal growth and leading to an enhanced international awareness.
